A joint use of precipitation height (radar echo-top height) and cloud-top
temperature (infrared radiance) measured from the space is demonstrated
here to be useful for delineating the
climatology of tropical precipitating clouds.
The dataset analyzed, including more recent observations as well,
is archived and open to the general research community.
